"The ideal house is that which has never been built
so as to never stop dreaming and creating "
A blend of modern and contemporary, classic and old are the pillars upon which the philosophy of Antonio Obrador rests.
Moreover, at AO, we uphold the cultural reference points of traditional architecture which define the identity and heritage of the place.
In architectural design, we are respectful towards the natural environment as well as towards the essence of the region.
Acclaimed individuals for whom AO has refurbished, built or designed their private homes, can attest to Antonio Obrador's professional career. Their properties have become bona fide embassies of his talent
"AO seeks perfect harmony". A remodelling project is one of the most challenging tasks an architectural firm can face as the original project must be in perfect harmony with the design of the new refurbishment.
Antonio Obrador affirms that success is based on respect for vernacular architecture without closing off the imagination nor losing sight of the challenges of modernity.
AO designs an overall image which is urbanely feasible and appropriate to the area, culture and history of the place.
The cultural heritage value is wholly preserved, so as not to forget what it had been in its heyday, and the façades, roofs and the exterior and interior finishes are restored.
With regards to the objects and architectural details, we perform minor repairs to recover missing elements of the urban structures using traditional materials.
The epitome of landscaping is that which is integrated into the environment with the climate of the place.
AO has tried to resolve the environmental impact which may affect the city.
Landscaping connects the outside world with the interior space of the structure to ensure that all elements presented by the building are aesthetically linked.
Antonio Obrador creates concepts and ideas which are not only applied to creations from scratch, but also to refurbishments where luxury and the building style blend together harmoniously, with the use of timeless elements.
Hotels with character and personality which appeal to the empathy and wonder of the guest creating an unusual and exceptional stay. The most distinctive characteristic of AO consists in achieving a perfect symbiosis between the designed hotel and the customer who commissions the project
The refurbishment and preservation of cultural elements is our priority, by bestowing development and variation, but without turning the hotel into a relic.
Antonio Obrador offers the guest the possibility of feeling part of the history of the hotel. Our guiding principle is that the components must stand the test of time.
At AO we create comprehensive concepts and innovative projects which we then implement in hotels.
• Transformation of a mallorquin fincathe in a five-star Gran Hotel Son Net in Puigpunyent (Mallorca) in 1998, described by the magazine Condé Nast, specialised in the hotel industry, among the 25 best hotel restoration works in the world.

Antonio Obrador integrates the freedom of choice with the aesthetic whim of creation in the concealed spaces of his structures.
We create spaces wherein the decoration accurately reflects the lifestyle of each person.
According to Antonio Obrador, "The ideal house is that which has never been built so as to never stop dreaming and being creative".
The original decorative and structural elements must be harmoniously integrated into the new design.
We restore the elegance of the buildings by maintaining their original architectural design to create a magical and avant-garde atmosphere.
In the capable hands of AO, a house may cease to be an inhospitable place and instead become a welcoming place in keeping with the current times.
Our results: highly personalised interiors with pieces of furniture carefully designed and created to produce an ambience full of talent and aesthetic beauty.

It is also a meeting place for the exchange of works and experience regarding fortifications and military architecture between its members. The society is a founding member of the International Fortress Council and authors several specialized and prestigious publications and magazines.
Antonio Obrador extols creativity while at the same time defending respect for tradition. His greatest merit lies in blending a strong sense of the aesthetic with the right balance between tradition and modernity.
Achieving this involves carrying out a conscientious study wherein a wide range of factors are analysed: sensibility as regards the location, respect for the environment and the landscape, orientation considerations as well as views and lighting to reach optimal distribution with high-quality materials.
