Although the castle upon which this home rests is a Neo-Gothic building from the 19th century, the respectful intervention and subsequent decoration of the different areas were carried out with an avant-garde spirit in keeping with the tastes of the owners, influential contemporary art collectors.

The stark contrast between the old structures and the new designs and materials is an example of how the blend between the old and the new can be very intriguing, provided that this is made in a respectful and coherent manner.
The old limestone walls were left without filling in with mortar and traditional materials and techniques were used to preserve its rural charm.
